A message from Ellis and The Misnomer boys...

"So the 20th April will be our last gig as The Misnomer and we start the recording of our debut album on the 21st under the name of Atom Gang. We have many reasons for the name change. First and foremost we pretty much just dont like the current name anymore. Secondly, we have a new album on the way and have decided to start a fresh. Thirdly, we are finally happy with our line up which has taken the best part of 6 years to find. I personally have lost count of the Bass players we have had. Our full time bass player is called Rory P. Dunne. (but you can all call him chips) He drinks with us, lives with us and parties with us and thats all we've ever wanted... a solid bass player who doesn't give a shit about his liver... so thats us, the beginning of Atom Gang.

The Album will be produced and Engineered by Me (yeah, Ellis, that is I) with close ears and eyes from the other three (yeah, them three). I'm personally a bit nervous but the other chaps are not. They have every faith... speaking of faith, the drums are going to be recorded in a giant Church in Berkshire. ooooohhh! A good drum kit in a good size room with a great (yeah, great) drummer will make my job a lot easier. What you put in is what you get out and that is all were going for on this album. The songs are sounding real, alive, deadly and totally honest in the practice room and were going to fuckin' run with that. It's the songs and the rawness of the record that are going to make it shine. The music we have been listening to recently has made us think twice about how we want this album to sound. I don't want perfect anymore, I want a moment.

We have plans for doing a video for the song "Edwood" and releasing it on vinyl with a B-side from one of the album recordings. The Album is set to be finished by the end of May 2008 with a title of "I see" said the blind man. Oh, and there's an EP and record label on the way too. so there.

All the best, all our love, yours truly...
Atom Gang
